1940s Black Evening Gown with Beaded Bodice
1940s black evening gown with gold beaded and sequined bodice.
Approximately a size Medium.
1940s black evening dress with gold glass beads, gold sequins, and amber rhinestones in a loopy design on the bodice. It has a side zipper closure. It has a V-neck, with smocking along the shoulders. The short sleeves have pleated shoulders for fullness. The skirt is full from the fitted waistline, and bust is gathered for a soft fit. Unsure of the fabric, but it feels like a heavy rayon crepe.
In really good condition, with no holes. There is one small area of missing beads, and there are some stains along the hem. They are fairly hard to see since it is a black dress, but they feel a little stiff. If you needed to hem it, it would take them away.
